Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life. To make it a success, planning is the most important thing. Once you have that ring on your finger, your new job will now begin. Budget will dictate the next steps. Find your realistic budget and then work creating your expected guest list. To make the wedding planning less stressful, select a professional wedding planner. You will find a wedding planner will make your planning your wedding so much easier. If your budget does not allow you to contract a professional wedding planner, then you will have to fine help from magazines, books, friends, and other wedding vendors you come in contact with.
The first step of planning a wedding is to research books, magazines, and bridal shows. Work with a wedding planning guide and create a folder and filing system. The key is to keep organized. The next step is to select a date you and your fiancé agree upon. Your budget and guest list will then dictate what venue will work best for you. Most planning guides will break down the planning process into “months before the wedding day”. I also like to divide the planning period into thirds. I like to mention the first period. This is where you contract the most important vendors, wedding planner, venues, cater, photographer, and wedding dress. Follow your guide with the rest of the planning items and check them off as you move along the process.
Your planning will always encounter challenges. Little things will always come up and frustrate you. If these things are the worst things that happen, you are doing fine. Don’t sweat the little things. Remember the main goal. Surround yourself with professional and experienced vendors that share a passion for their trade.
